FIS – Quantitative Financial Software Developer

Your role

As a developer in our valuation team, you will be challenged with a wide range of tasks, ranging from design, development and maintenance of our solution in PRIME, one of the client applications for financial trading FIS Cross-Asset Trading and Risk Platform. The valuation team solves problems related to pricing and modelling of financial instruments and derivatives in all asset classes. Our solutions are typically implemented using C/C++ or our own Arena Data Flow Language.

We will offer you stimulating challenges, where understanding customer requirements and solving problems is a key part, in combination with creating advanced technical solutions. You will be part of an agile team with skilled and motivated developers and QA that take full responsibility for its solution which includes both working on continuous improvements as well as innovations. We believe that the best solutions are built by those who are proud of what they produce! By working closely together with Senior Developers and the Product Owner in your Scrum team you will get a deep understanding of market needs and software design.

Position requirements

We strongly believe that passion for financial markets and software development are equally necessary! We know that we can accomplish a lot more together than as individuals so are you a creative, passionate and a caring team player?

We expect you to have the following:

  • Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Engineering Physics, Computer Science or similar degree
  • 0-5 years of experience in system development
  • Understanding of Object Oriented Programming
  • Experience with C++ is an advantage
  • Knowledge and strong interest in financial mathematics
  • Have capacity to deliver high quality software in a high pace environment
  • Fluent English
