Nordea Investment Banking – Leveraged Finance autumn internships 2024, 20 weeks

Opportunity to join the leading Leveraged Finance franchise in the Nordics

As a Nordic leader, the Nordea Leveraged Finance unit focuses exclusively on servicing the bank’s private equity clients in a broad set of financing situations, including leveraged buyouts, dividend recapitalisations and refinancings. Our team consists of 40+ professionals across the Nordics which, in close collaboration with relevant units in investment banking, is responsible for pitching, structuring, executing and ultimately distributing debt instruments to support our clients’ financing needs. We are uniquely positioned as the leading Nordic Leveraged Finance team with a product-neutral approach and our capabilities span across the full spectrum of debt solutions including bank financings, distributed loans and high yield bonds.

The offer

Following a week of training that will equip you with the toolbox needed for you to contribute, you will get exposure to transactions and the opportunity to be involved in finding solutions to solve complex financial situations. You will get the opportunity to contribute in various processes, ranging from live transactions and pitches to monitoring of our portfolio. The main responsibilities for our interns include aggregating and analysing qualitative and quantitative data as well as contributing to internal and external presentations. You will be supported and work closely together with our experienced colleagues in various situations, learning first-hand the decision-making process of an investment bank.

The Leveraged Finance team also offers various social team events including sport activities, weekly team breakfasts and occasional dinners. Nordea and the Leveraged Finance team also provide opportunities to nurture mental health while performing in an otherwise demanding job.

The internship lasts 20 weeks during the autumn of 2024 and is full-time and based in Stockholm.
